If anyone can explain to me why I slept only 3.5 hours after exercising for almost FOUR hours and taking two benadryl before going to bed yesterday...I'd be happy to hear about it. Argh.  I'm pretty sure it's the lamictal...but I can't be sure.  I'm going in to talk to my pdoc this afternoon...so we'll see what she says - depending on how long it' ( Read more... )

Lamictal is not sleep inducing. At least not for me.

Yeah, but I tired myself out exercising rigorously, then took a few benadryl, even!!

Either I'm really just out of whack from staying awake earlier in the week, or it's the lamictal keeping me up.

No answers here. I take Lamictal first thing in the morning (in addition to 5 other drugs, and Depakote at night. I take Trazadone, a very mild antidepressant at night that puts me to sleep. Might be a good thing to ask your pdoc about.

Yeah, we talked about it this time and last - I want to wait until my schedule is more regular [which it will be next week again] before I start something else. That way, I can tell if I really need something to sleep [which I know I will - because I ALWAYS have I'm just being stupid and hoping otherwise...hoping that maybe being more stable on meds will help me get some sleep...]...

Just a thought. Trazadone is about the only thing that puts me to sleep, allowing me to wake up clear headed and not all gummy.
