So I applied for a lab position at Cryolife in Kennesaw today...which means that I made my decision about returning to the classroom [on either side of the desk] next fall. The job would be full-time...and the hours would be Monday-Thursday only, but from 10pm-830am. :-P So we'll see.
Yesterday was decent, and today was good...I think that I really need to remember to take my green stuff [greens/fruit&veggie supplement powder stuff] every morning. That might have had something to do with my mood falling last week - I had run out and hadn't been taking it. Of course, that might have just been normal, but it seems a bit of a coincidence that since I've been taking it again the last few days I've had a lot more energy and I've been better/more-evenly tempered.
I'd like to be online for a long time, but mentally, I think I want away from the computer...since I'm on it all of the time.
Hans traded in his buick and bought a new car yesterday - we spent the afternoon at the dealership...*sigh* It's a convertible corvette, 2002, 350hp, 8cyl. Spectacular looking machine. Very clean. It matches my hair when it's freshly dyed...lol - it's called "electron blue." I'd post the pictures but they're on the camera, which is downstairs, and I'm lazy. :-P
Great thing, though, is that he's actually going to be paying less per month for this car than he was the stupid ranier [the buick]. I hated that car...it wasn't very comfortable at all, and even at the lowest seat setting, I couldn't reach the floor comfortably. You see, I'm pretty short - my torso is normal sized, but my legs are pretty short [so I look normal sized when I'm sitting at a table, but my feet don't touch the floor...].
Anyway...uhm...I got a double-CD in the mail yesterday and I'm listening to it. :-P
Anything else...? I got a great e-mail today. Hold on, lemme find it. The best part was a description of me that I read a few times before I stopped beaming or whatever. It made me smile quite much...ahh, here it is:
"Also on Tuesday I talked on the phone for most of an hour with an ex-girlfriend from way, back in the day. Maybe you know her? Anyways it was awesomely nostalgic and so funny and strange to hear her voice and know it's the same one that I used to hear all the time. I hope she enjoyed it! She says she did anyway. We might hang out in June. She often has mood-swings, but I always want to know how she's doing because she's still that person all the time. She's more multi-dimensional than a lot of people."
The funniest/best part, is that it was written in an e-mail to ME [and it's about ME, in case you didn't catch that]. :-P
aiylyn is super awesome...totally not a 'krod.' The best line is the one about that I'm still "that person all the time." That's something significant to me. :-) Very much so.
On Monday [i guess] night he FINALLY gave in and gave me his phone number. I've actually been asking about it for months, but he blocked it out. :-P So after he logged off AIM, I called him and left him a voice mail...except that I was so nervous/excited/freaked about calling him that it was super-speedy and weird, I'm sure. He says it sounded like I must be married to the micro-machines guy [i was talking reallly reallly fast - I do that sometimes]. :-P When I was done leaving the message, I KNEW it was going to be horrid, so I called back to leave another, hopefully slightly calmer message...one that he wouldn't have to listen to a few times in order to understand all of it. Lol.
So then Tuesday I called him at 11 - don't ask me why, I wouldn't be able to tell ya - but he didn't answer, so I didn't leave another message. Turns out he was off buying breakfast [the fruit loops I made reference to], and we talked for 46 minutes and some random seconds. :-D It was tremendously interesting to actually hear him talk again.
I don't want to get into that right now, perhaps later, but let's just say that it's been a while, and it was nice.
Good times. Anyhow...I don't feel like typing forever, which is what I'll do if I don't post this soon... so g'd night to those of you who sleep on Thursdays.
