(no subject)
Nothing really has been going on. I had lunch with Lindsay Maples a few days ago. She's going to be gone for Teach for America training by the time that I get back so I wanted to say goodbye. We all went up to Jackson for the day on Saturday to visit my grandparents. I don't ever want to get old. All that my grandmother did was complain about her health and how she has just been so stressed out lately about everything. We went out to eat at some restaurant in town and my grandfather kept making really racist remarks. It's sort of sad because I know that he can't help it but it still bothers me. I did manage to the talk them into giving me an old metal sewing table that I'm going to turn into a desk. Memorial Day has been going good so far. Since we spent Saturday with the grandparents, we have the whole day to ourselves. It's sort of nice but weird at the same time. It's just me and my family hanging out and we don't have that many more of these left before things will somehow be different. My brother and I are in the midst of a Star Wars marathon. I'm a dork. I know, but I don't care. By the way, my brother has officially passed the 6 ft mark. We marked our height on a door frame. I leave for California tomorrow morning. Yay! I miss everyone terribly.
P.S. Alisha I cannot believe that Big and Rich was played at a wedding....only in the South.
