softball
softball...
I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!
okay...so from like 2nd to 6th grade i played baseball...because i was one of the only girls and the other girl was a huge tom-boy, my brother(who was the coach) didn't think i was as good as the boys and the tom-boy, and made me play right field, then left, then center...i hate outfield...nothing happens there...only in the pros and like high school...i was like 7 okay...what 7 year old do you know that's gonna hit a ball out to outfield?...if you do know someone...i'm sorry to tell you this...but they're probably on steroids.
then in 5th grade...he finally let me play the possition that i always wanted...FIRST BASE...
it was amazing...it's like one of the best positions to play ever in the game of baseball...
i soon realized in 7th grade that it was an equally awesome position to play in softball
so softball now rocks my face off...
when i first started there was this other girl who played softball who also plays first base...
a little friendly competition never hurt anyone...except me...
so she was great at catching, but she has bad knees so naturally no catchers position for her...
and we all know that pretty much every other throw in both baseball and softball will go to the first baseman...or basewoman in this case...
i'll admit...she intimidated me a little bit...okay...so she intimidated me a lot
i effed it up when coach wanted to see what i could do
even though catching went wrong apparently he saw that i can throw alright...i didn't know
so as i'm almost crying and wanting to cuss at the same time over the fact that i'm not gonna get to play first he tells me that i'm playing third base...and back-up first...
hmm....
so then i fell in love with third base...
my brother, ben, my old baseball coach...haha, later that year wanted to see if i could pitch
i couldn't...
but i kept working because ben's a really pushy person...he won't let you say "i can't" or "i don't want to."
which is pretty cool i guess coz i've never really given up on anything related to sports when he's around.
so now i pitch in games sometimes...meh...i'm still not good
so i'm pretty much in love with those 3 positions now...
but i've always always always loved first, i mean seriously: it was the first position i actually enjoyed playing and was alright at...
the girl that beat me out in 7th grade for main first baseman quit this year...it was really lame...i was disappointed in her...she quit when we had like 4 games left and they were all at home too...
so now i'm gonna be in 9th grade...i think i'm on JV!!!! YAYA!!!...it doesn't seem like it matters because you'd think that most 9th graders are on JV...but not at TRF...
I'M INCREDIBLY STOKED!!!!...you should be too
