the first week of classes was amazing, and the first week is never amazing. i felt calm yet excited; there was no nervousness for the first day, and there is always nervousness with me. i got nervous belly driving to jiffy lube this morning. don't ask why. i think the lack of nervousness is due to two things. i was prepared for this semester immensely. i also am fully invested and truly believe in the material this semester. in class on that first day, i lectured a bit. we humped right into things. anyway, usually when i do that, i feel stupidand exposed and i second guess myself. that day, i didn't. i felt so damn comfortable and right and, more importantly, i felt confident the material was important for them to know.
all in all, it was great. i hope the momentum will keep going.
