a Christmas present that I bought for Rachel online just now! :-) I'm putting together a few things to start a dress-up collection for her. I have a couple crowns that were a dollar each and am going to buy a fairy wand at Target for a couple dollars. I have some shoes I'll just let her have. She has her Halloween costume already and a bigger flowered shirt that she uses as a dress. But I wanted to get her a princess dress from WalMart or something along with the crowns and wand. I figured I'd do the princess dress in case we can't afford it again for a while. Anyways, the ones at WalMart and Target are usually around 20-25 dollars and aren't really made all that well. I'll go find a picture real quick...never mind. They don't seem to sell them online. Anyways! I was looking around online anyways and finding dresses for 40 to 150 bucks. Yeah. 40 would be really stretching it right now. 150...I'd never pay that much period-lol! Well, I found this site with some really pretty dresses! They had princesses, fairies, and work ones (i.e., policeman). They also sell doll clothes that match the princess dresses. And they even sell accessories like tiaras, shoes, wands, capes, boas, headbands, etc. They said that their princess dresses are made of soft velvet that's machine washable with not velcro or snaps or anything. The material is stretchy enough to let the child put it on without any help (pro for when Rachel starts dressing herself more). The reveiws all raved about the product and about how they'd washed it over and over and over again and their child had even worn it to bed multiple times and it still looks like new. Alright, so at this point I'm thinking they're gonna be at least a hundred bucks per dress. I start looking at prices and I'm really surprised! The regular ones are at about $32 and the deluxe ones are a bit pricier. Not too bad...but still a little more than I'd been planning on spending. I started calculating expenses and whether or not I wanted to pay that much. I showed the pictures of each dress to Rachel just to see if it would seem like she would like them. She loved them all! But she loved the Winter Belle dress the most-by far! I was still hemming and hawing when suddenly I see that the dress is actually in the upper 20s! I think like 29. But that's not what really caught my eye. It was on sale!! Lol! For $24.40! I got so excited! But then I realized that with shipping and handling I was gonna probably still be paying like 40 bucks. You know how that goes. But I decided to check it out anyways and I went through the beginning part of the check-out to see what it cost and LO AND BEHOLD they have a shipping option of FREE!!!!!!!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!!!! I am SOLD!!!! I whipped out my card and bought it! I will also add that this store is the only one that I've found that has a size that starts before 3T. It'll still be long on her but that's why it's dress-up! :-) And I decided to get it now because the sale might've ended and they're already selling out of the small size in other dresses-some until January so I did NOT want to take that chance (especially since she had chosen my favorite dress as well-lol!). And now, without any further ado, for twenty-four dollars and forty cents and no scratchy material...lol! Here is the dress I bought!

...wow...what a tiny picture...lol! Anyways, I love it! And Rachel loves it! And even if no one else thought it was pretty I probably still would have bought it-lol! I'm stubborn like that.
I almost forgot! If I end up with enough money left over I might get her one more dress. Probably this one (it's $27):
