Hi!
So I haven't updated much because life has been super crazy busy, and I haven't had a ton of time to. That and a lot of what is going on lately I don't even know where I'd start writing about.
School is really crazy. There are some very stressful things going on in the building, and writing them all out would take forever and leave me even more stressed, so I'm not going to. It's enough to say that I do not think I will get much joy out of this class for the rest of the year, and that I am eagerly awaiting the last school days in June. To be honest I would anyway, because staying at home with Annalise this fall brought me such joy and peace and happiness, and being able to sink into that for the summertime will be just blissful. I am very lucky that I have a job which I find fulfilling (usually) that also gives me the chance to spend time with my family.
There isn't much beyond the school thing right now, but I am working towards changing that. I'm taking a session of yoga classes again starting next Monday, at a small studio here near our house. I'm really excited at the idea of trying to get back into practice, both for the physical and mental aspects of it. Keeping calm is kind of a new motto around here, as I don't want my little girl growing up to the model of a high strung and anxious mama. Nor as someone who is breastfeeding can I count on the chemical assistance I used to have for those panic filled days. As for my body, I'm still getting used to being in full control of it again, even after six months. There is definitely some new tightness in my hips and thighs that could use attention.
I've also curled up with some good books, and done a little bit of gaming here and there. Last week I finished The Secret Life of Bees, which I liked very much, and Bitter Sweets, which I also found pretty enjoyable. Not sure where I'll start next, I have the new Phillipa Gregory historical to flip through when it moves me, and a few other pieces of interest here or there. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know!
