Well
plucky_lass posted a nice list of resolutions, and it seemed like a good idea. But, I don't do resolutions, or celebrate the importance of the arbitrary change of numbers that we use to measure our linear sense of time. So, umm, yay, we've just completed another orbit of the Sun, or something.
Anyway, plans for the year ahead:
- Take up knitting....again. By actually sticking to it, and not giving up because Swarley keeps playing with the wool while I'm trying to knit.
- Finish learning how to crochet.
- Teach self more about cake decorating. This may involve making cake.
- Keep up with my recipe blog, and find/create new recipes to go on it.
- Put myself forward for things more. Self-promotion is not something I'm good at for serious things. Declaring that I'm awesome for silly things does not count, as that's usually said to convince myself more than anything.
- Put myself first more, and not volunteer to do the things that can wreck me for weeks afterwards.
- See my friends more often.
- See my family more often. This will be helped by the probability that I will be moving nearer to them when the lease on this place is up.
- Save money, and don't just spend it all on Larp, just because it's there.
- Do more sewing, and remember that I do actually enjoy it when I get going.
- Clear out more stuff that I don't need, and be brutal about it. I won't have the space for it all soon.
- Take up Cross Stitch again. I have countless unfinished projects that are just sitting in a box, and a huge amount of charts/magazines that haven't even been looked at for years.
- Be happy and positive.
