I haven't read all of it for complex reasons, but Banana Fish is justifiably a classic.

Although still not to a degree I found truly satisfying.
But I did read the whole thing, and for the most part I quite enjoyed it.

Oh, neat! I keep seeing Banana Fish in the used manga stacks in Spectator, but I had no idea what it was about. That sounds pretty cool.
I think the parakeet of doom and the fish of death should go out on a date.
