1. Yoon mentioned a writer's workshop at Wiscon. I misheard it as "writer's worship." I think that would be an excellent idea and hereby nominate it. Writers need more worship!
2. While I was writing in the cafe today (the one with the Obama phone bank) a crazy person sat down next to me and attempted to strike up a crazy conversation.
He was not dissuaded by me telling him that I was working and did not wish to talk, nor by my refusal to tell him who I voted for ("Hillary, right?") I was about to inform him that he could either stop talking to me or leave the cafe, when he concluded his incoherent speech about the political process and Jesus (I could not tell if he was pro or con), said, "Okay, I've made my point now. That's all I wanted," and left.
I am still not sure what his point was.
