Laptop in shop. It's not the battery, it's not the charger. I should know by Monday what it is and if it's fixable; for now, posting from net cafe. Some old man was using this computer before me; I watched him stare at a video of a woman's breasts, encased in a blue bikini, bounce up and down and up and down, for something like ten minutes. EW

It may not be for a while, since I'm going to be heading into a crazy two weeks before my own trip to Japan, but don't let me forget about it! It's good practice for me, and now I'm curious, too. :-)
