Wow, the story sure picked up after the awful piffle arc. I am not certain exactly what's going on, but oh, the angst! Oh, the
vampire twins!
Kurogane's tragic kiddie berserker childhood! All the Dragons of Heaven and Earth showing up again! Vampire twins Kamui and Subaru! Evil clone Syaoran! Sakura finally waking up and going on a quest of her own!
Best of all, Fai becoming a vampire who can only drink Kurogane's blood! Holy shit!!!!
One expects CLAMP characters to suffer greatly, angst greatly, and lose eyes, and I always assumed that Fai was hiding some terribly dark secret behind his fluffy facade, but I was not expecting Syaoran to rip out (and eat?! Like Sylar?!) his eye! And then for Fai to writhe about with trailing bandages moaning for death! And for Kurogane to become his bonded vampire-victim via vampire twins Subaru and Kamui! Wow!
Despite a long talk with Oyce, in which she explained the Subaru and Kamui as vampire twins thing (I was confused by CLAMP's tendency toward similar-looking faces, especially combined with my knowledge of X and the updated character designs, and also by all the doubling in the series) I am still confused about some things.
Without spoiling me for subsequent events but referring pnly to what I could have gleaned by now...
Clone Syaoran has been traveling on this whole quest while Original Syaoran has been imprisoned and watching, right?
Was Cardcaptor Sakura Syaoran a clone, too?
The what with his right eye what what? Are both Syaorans missing, blind in, or have a magic seal on their right eyes?
Does Original Syaoran still have a heart, or did he give his to Clone Syaoran?
It was Clone Syaoran that stole Fai's eye, right? What did he do with his own eye? What triggered him to do that?
Clone Syaoran doesn't know he's a clone, does he?
I think this was explained earlier, but I forget: where is Seishirou and what is he doing, and what is his relationship to vampire Kamui and Subaru in this universe?
Do not spoil me for subsequent chapters. I'm still trying to download those. (First attempt failed, for some reason.)
I see great, great, great angst ahead. For one thing, there is only one Sakura... Hmm... you know, I could be wrong about that.
