From the used DVD/CD shop, Amoeba:
Angel Season 5. Watched two episodes so far. "You have reached Sacrifice Inc. For goat, press one, or say the word 'goat.'" Love it.
Gasaraki # 1, 2, 4, and 5. At $1.99, I figure I might as well. I can rent # 3 or buy it later if I like the show. This is
aireon's daughter's favorite, right? It's a mecha show, but apparently involves more political intrigue than fighting robots. I hope so, anyway.
R.O.D the series. Episodes 9-12. At five bucks, I may as well start collecting it and pick up the rest when I see them. The Paper Sisters fight crime with magic origami. I think.
Wolf's Rain. The last four episodes, the ones after the ending-that-wasn't. (I've seen it all up to this point.) I'm a bit scared to watch this disc, as this completely seems like the sort of show that might conclude in "There's an apocalypse and everyone dies, the end."
Kino's Journey, volume 1. This looks like an artsy anime about a traveling guy.
Tanglewood Tree, by Dave Carter and Tracy Grammar. Gorgeous alt-country-folk CD which I bought on the strength of the extraordinary song "The Mountain," but the whole album is terrific. "Cat-Eye Willie Claims His Lover" is also outstanding-- it sounds like a particularly creepy old folk song, but is actually original. I highly recommend this.
