Let the over-thinking begin!

So I had lunch today w/ this kid from my Latin class, who's a freshman in UNI (the University's Professors Program- smart kids who can design their own major). And he's 19 so it's not that creepy, I swear. It's not a big deal or anything but b/c we don't know much about each other it *really* felt like a first date/"let's ask each other a million questions" kinda deal. But yeah, it was fun and he asked for my number afterwards. We're going to study together or something at some point. I dunno, we'll see.

I think some kid who I only know from serving him at Starbucks waved at me today on Comm Ave, which seems kinda weird to me. I'm not sure he was even waving at me, but we were like a foot apart so I think so. I think he's cute and all, but he is not special. I give everyone my signature half-smile and tell them "Have a good one," so maybe he is the one overthinking our barista-customer relationship. I'm just saying...

I've decided that I'm now rooting for the Red Sox b/c a) really, who likes the Yankees? and b) if they get to the World Series I have this theory that people will be nicer here. Or drunk all the time. Either way, I'd like to see the kind of madness that will ensue, minus the riots and deaths of college students like in 2004. But can you really celebrate without breaking shit?
