Overheard on the bus this evening from a 30-something male-

"Hearing a woman say 'I can't cook' is essentially a way of her saying 'I am stupid.'"

Anyone agree to disagree?

When I was 10, I read a Judy Blume book called Mitch and Amy where one of the main characters, Bernadette, proclaims that "Anyone who can read can cook!" I've believed it since, and even though I don't cook, gimme a recipe book and I'll make a go of it, if I have to. ;)

Ahhhh, now you've got me thinking about Ms. Judy. I adore her books... Such morals! :-P

I disagree to an extent. Or rather, I agree to a better version.

"Hearing a human say 'I can't cook' is essentially a way of him/her saying 'I am stupid.'"

Kaydeeyoh!
