I tend to be repulsed by ugly people, and maybe that's bad, but yeah, for the most part I too have attractive friends.

That's actually a psychological phenomenon that people like (and therefore befriend) people who remind them of themselves. Most of your friends are also liberal college students in majors they enjoy rather than what will pay well (like psychology and English). If you look through Chrissy Giacomarro's facebook, all of her friends are unnaturally beautiful.
