the theme for tonight was "horribly awful movie night, no i mean REALLY bad". we rented both glitter and gigli. the goal was to, by the end of the night, decide which movie was truly the worst movie ever. i'll give you the low down so that you can make wiser decisions for your own horribly awful movie night, no i mean REALLY bad. we tried to figure out which would be worst and to watch that one first, so we would have the stamina to sit through both. we chose glitter as the most likely to be worst. it was indeed completely and totally awful. the continuity, general plot, character development, and acting was all severly lacking. there were many scenes that were left out which caused confusion, and even more that were left an and caused nausea. HOWEVER, i had an excellent time watching glitter. we provided top-notch commentary, and i would recommend renting this peice of trash. gigli was a completely different type of trash. besides the fact that it had ZERO CONFLICT, it was utterly boring and literally painful to watch. the acting was decent, but the dialogue was pointless, the score wasn't correct, and there was no action in the TWO HOUR AND ONE MINUTE film. the role of the mentally retarded boy, brian, was a complete success and certainly stole the show. no one wanted to watch this movie past the first 20 minutes, but we were troopers, we stuck it out... when all was said and done, the votes were cast, and for the winner of worst movie was gigli, with a score of 3 to 1. also, we nearly had a set of broken legs and broken bay windows, when dan threatened to jump out of the window instead of watching one more moment of gigli.
