the end is nearing
currently, damaris is speaking on the phone in portuguese VERY LOUDLY in the echoy hallway. i shut my door and can still hear her.
not much longer now. tonight, after work, we're probably going to go to das fest in karlsruhe... or do something... because it's the last time that i'll see rosie and alfred. they leave tomorrow for vacation, and i leave for good before they come back.
just 9 more days of working. then it's off to mennorode to work on the film, so i get it finished before the rest of the trainees come for our end conference before flying off home.
the mixture of emotions is strangely inexplicable... or perhaps not that "strangely" afterall. it's amazing the things i've learned and the many ways i've changed and grown during my time here. i'm so thankful for this experience. yet, my time here is done, and i'm so happy that i'm leaving soon. i'm sure i'd learn more if i stayed, but i dont want to stay here any longer. maybe (hopefully) one day i'll come back to germany. but for now, it's time to go. despite the massive amounts i'm going to miss some people and many cultural aspects.
