New Moon Banner Tutorial
How to create something like that:
The coloring is not translatable. But the base should be. ;D
First thing you need to know...
try to find some pics with a nice background around the people.
Just like my pics...with that nice old building around.
The pic you're going to use in the middle doesn't need any background at all. You will have to blend it in anyway. :D
I hope you will be able to understand.
So I will really do it step by step. :D
PIC1; PIC2;PIC3
Open an new document.
Mine is 550x180px.
Take your pic #1 resize it if necessary .
I put it to the left size of my canvas.
Do the same with pic #2.
Should look like that:
Put pic #3 above everything and blend it in. I used a soft brush and erased around them.
As usual.
It also covers the white space between the first two pics. ;)
And now the "blending is so much fun" part. ;D
You need to find some stock images.
Depends on your sig. You can use whatever you like.
Because it's from the New Moon Volterra scene I looked for some Volterra pics. :D
I put STOCK1 on the left side and STOCK2 on the right side.
Set both to lighten and erase everything above the middle pic.
Maybe you notice I used the doors in the stocks as some kind of frame.
Optional step.
I dublicated the stock layers and set them to hard light 50% and erased the parts on Bella and Edward.
Because the white walls looked a bit empty. ;D
Coloring is the same as I used for my lates New Moon icons. ;)
If you use that coloring make sure your pic color is pretty similar to my pics.

You can try any color you like.
I just wanted to use that one again cause (like mrssanderson said ^^) it fits so well.
Before you merge the whole layers use a selective blur filter (filter > blur > smart blur) with the base.
Radius 3.0
Treshold 5.0
Merge.
Okay. Now you just need to dublicate the whole thing and set to exclusion 20%.
Merge again.
Text. Lucky me I love to listen to the radio.
Lyrics are from Shesays "Save Me" and because it's the scene where Bella saves Edward...
yeah...you know?
"Save Me" in a red from the piece with an outer glow (normal 100%) with any bright color of the piece.
That lovely font is Ohlo De Boi.
The rest of the text is Minion. Also used a bright color of the piece.
Gave it an outer glow with a darker color. Normal 100%.
Put THAT texture on top set to screen 60%.
Erase if necessary.
Merge.
Sharpen once or like I did...use the paint daubs filter. (Artistic filter!)
Last thing I did is adding a stroke.
(ctrl+a > edit > add stroke).
And you're done. :)
