Word #131 - Feline
Title: Feline Good
Character: Sue Sylvester
Fandom: Glee
Dear Journal,
In the wake of my wrongful dismissal from my position as coach of the Cheerios, I have been doing a lot of thinking.
Not regretting my actions against Schuester and his hideous Glee Club - Lord no! I'd never regret something that feels so deliciously cruel. I've merely been thinking of revenge. How to get rid of that curly-haired fool and his clique of misfits once and for all.
As I said before, he has awoken a sleeping giant and I am capable of so much more maliciousness than I have so far shown. I'm very much looking forward to getting back from my suspension and proving to them all that Sue Sylvester is not going to take this lying down!
I assure you, Journal, victory will be mine.
I came to a realisation the other day though. I was relaxing by building my muscles on the cross trainer, when from the corner of my eye I spotted a cat.
Now, though I may be female, I certainly have no interest in those things deemed “cute” by others of my gender. Cats give me the creeps. The Chinese have the right idea of what to do with those fur-balls.
The cat was sitting on my garden wall, in an upright position, all its limbs neatly tucked in for balance on the ledge. Its head was facing forward, and it was looking at me with its amber and black eyes. Emotionless. Hardly a whisker twitching.
It was creepy as hell - much like some of the gormless kids that infest the halls of McKinley High.
It distracted me long enough to make me stop my work out. I stared back at it, half in annoyance yet slightly, dare I say it, in fear. I opened the French doors onto the garden, continuing my staring match.
I realised something.
Cats were not “cute”. No. Cats are skilled hunters, able to stay still and out of sight should they choose. They are masters of screwing with their opponent's mind. They are toned, well-trained, ruthless killing machines. They were worshipped as Gods back in Egyptian times and are a graceful, yet deadly species of animal. Cats such as the ginger tom perched on my wall are the distant relatives of the fearsome tigers of Asia and lions of Africa.
I suddenly felt a connection. This cat was very much like myself. It was like a sign, telling me to sit and wait. Telling me that I must not hurry and act hastily when I return. I must sit and freak Schuester out, much like this feline was doing to me, and let him wonder why I am doing it and what the next move will be.
I smiled to myself.
Then promptly threw the nearest object I could find at the cat on the wall.
Of course, it fled. But I know I'm better than that. No matter what Will Schuester throws at me, I will be the unbeatable cat, sitting on the wall waiting to strike.
I could almost taste victory. And it would be delicious.

Author Notes:
Because I was Glee-obsessed when this prompt came out. I wrote it in just over 15 mins but left a few things blank as words elluded me. I went back and edited afterwards because, hey, I'm a bit of a perfectionist and son't like showing people the crap that first comes out of my head when I write. Not that I made too many edits. Just added bits for clarity. I see it in my head, but there is no point if the reader has no idea what I mean.
I think I may have overused the word "delicious" but I just love the way Sue says that word and it made it easier for me to get into her character that way.
