Ohmygosh.
I have a lot of work to do before my course begins. I managed to get my library card today so will be spending some time in the library tomorrow morning doing the background reading for one of my modules. I've done a translation and read a poem in one of the translations I need to read so far. I need to read it in another translation, compare them, and then look at the poem in the original Old English... then I need to read as much crit on it as possible. I also need to read around thirteen chapters on the origins of the English language, so that might be tomorrow's task. I'm also picking up a crit article which I need to read and write something about. And I need to do some notes on some questions too.
I'm really rather excited about all this! Even though these tasks are very obviously a lot less in depth and difficult than the ones outlines for every week after this...!
I am the only person on my course, which is an interesting turn of events. I'm going to get a lot of attention!
Unfortunately the doctor does not think I am a healthy person, but I need to go back in two weeks to make sure, so he can confirm a diagnosis of asthma. Bleeeeh. But the timing works well for me because I got my certificate of entitlement to free health care today... so if I have to get an inhaler or whatever, I won't have to pay! Hooray!
