Updated 11pm: "Hi guys, we are at ARC since 6.30pm. Iggy is going thru' the blood transfusion since 7.30pm. He is doing well so far.
He'll need to be admitted to monitor his progress after the transfusion, and if everything is ok he'll be discharged tomorrow.
He'll need to be back in ARC in 24hrs to check his blood level again and Dr Shum needs to find out why this is happening to him.
The Hero: His donor is Marky, owner Lorna & Lucille have been wonderful and they ask nothing in return. "God saved Marky's life six years ago and gave him this unusual blood type, so now it's his turn to help others" -Lorna. We really appreciate their assistance. Many thanks!!"
Very touched. Though I have nothing to do with them, I don't know them personally or whatsoever, but seeing another dog going through a life and death struggle hurts me. Very glad that the donor's owners actually were so willing to help Iggy.
Hope Iggy's fine and healthy!

Quoted from Pets Channel Forum:
"Hi everyone, I’m Iggy the Boston Terrier. I can’t remember how many owners I have had but my new owners just found me 2 days ago.
Today, they brought me to the doctor. They got bad news…
You see, I’m suffering from anemia, probably due to some viral infection in my blood stream. The doctor said I need an urgent blood transfusion within the next few days… or I’ll die. Now I know why I have been feeling so tired. I have no appetite, I have no energy, and I have to force myself to get up to go to the toilet to relive myself then I’d have used up all my energy and can’t get back. I just want to sleep my day away…
I met a new friend today. He’s Rusky the Siberian Husky, my new owners’ other dog. He went with me to the hospital where I’m supposed to get the blood transfusion done. Unfortunately, his blood type didn’t match mine. He said sorry, but I know it’s not his fault.
Everyone is trying so hard for me. My new owners have called everyone they know who have a big dog to look for a donor. The doctors I visited have called the various pet hospitals. They have no blood for me. When I see tears flowing from my owners’ eyes, I know I am running out of time.
Please everyone, I don’t want my owners to feel sad for me. If you have a big dog (above 20KG) with a negative blood type. Please reply to this post.
I am only 3 years old and I want to continue to live."
It's so sad to see a dog struggling to find a suitable blood donor and living his last days hoping to see a miracle.
Please my friends, relatives, readers, strangers. Anyone. If your friends or relatives (better still if you have a dog) who have big dogs (above 20KG) and a negative blood type, please offer your help to Iggy.
As the owner didn't leave any contact number, only asking us to reply him to his post, if you can offer help, do
email me!
