*This Past Week*
Okay so several things happened this past week. First all our jr. and sr. kindergarten graduated. Needless to say I cried. At the end we get up on stage with the kids and sing Proud to Be an American with the kids. Of course the song always tugs at me, but with all my babies going out into the big world it is ten times worse. I had about half of them in my class at some point, and now they are all grown up. *sighs*
The next thing that happened was that Benny hatched. And I know you guys are like who the heck is Benny? Well Benny is the Monarch caterpillar that was donated to us and we grew him. His full name is Benedict XVII the Monarch (Caterpillar, Chrysalis) Butterfly. I missed him spinning his chrysalis, but I was excited to see him hatch, and after a record 15.5 days he hatched Tuesday night. I went to get him watermelon because I knew he was coming soon and on my way it registered that his chrysalis had a tear in it. So I cut the watermelon then came back and it was bigger and I started to scream like an idiot and everyone came running in. It was so beautiful!
On Wednesday we released Benny. We took all the kids onto the back playground and made a huge circle. Then Ally and Zack the kids who brought them took the cover off and he flew away. It was awesome though because he flew the full circle around the kids heads then landed on a light pole. We snapped some really good pictures of him. He was so gorgeous. Needless to say I cried!
Finally my sister caught an escaped bunny yesterday. He is the size of my palm. Well he now lives in my brother's room. The bunny's name is officially Sir Angel Fleetfoot. Yes I realize he is named after the Kendall Fleetfoot, but what a rabbitty name Fleetfoot is. Of course if Angel turns out to be a girl then it will be Lady Angel Fleetfoot. The guy at the petstore was almost positive that Angel was a boy, but he said he is really small so he could be wrong. I am hoping he is wrong cuz all our pets are boys.
Today I get to work again at the Tae Kwon Do exhibition and dance recital. We are going to use the money for more supplies for Angel. That's all folks!!!!
