Halloween and States
Hi
Everyone keeps telling me that im really happy all the time now. I think for the most part they are right. My sixth hour teases me daily cause they say im "glowing" everytime i walk in there... its no secret why. Anywho, last week was really short. Friday the 29th, we (>>--C-C-->) had a spaghetti dinner at Heather's house which was fun cause my team is so crazy. Then, on saturday, we had regionals. There was no JV race so it was nice to just go and watch but the coolest part about the day is that we went in thinking maybe we would pull of 3rd (top three go to states) and ended up beating Stevenson and placing first! It was pretty awesome. The guys did well but nobody qualified for states individual. So saturday night i had pat, tina, kyle, and jon over to watch movies and stuff. It was fun but then meghan was supposed to come and she got all pissed cause i made the plans for once in my life and inviting her to come wasnt good enough so she didnt show up. (Mmmmm... pause to eat cake batter... Mmmm) Sunday was Halloween! I went to my sister's house with my dad and we went out to eat and carved pumpkins. It was good to see Becky (sister) cause i dont see her enough. Mike helped me design my pumpkin cause he didnt have one to carve. Then after that, i headed home to get ready for the party that Becky (friend) planned to take place at my house. Katharine came first and helped me pass out candy. Then Meghan pulls up with Charles, Becky, Chris, and Bogdan in the car. I had no idea that Meghan was coming out here. But that is a reasonable thing not to know, considering im not the one who invited anyone. So meghan was pissed cause i didnt invite her and she felt like she was intruding, which totally wasnt the case. Later danielle showed up and even later, Kerry and Mike. While all of this was going on, my cat had run outside and was missing so i was really stressed out. Later, we were all chillin outside and my cat came flying out of the bushes and was finally home safe! We trick-or-treated for like the last 10 minutes and got maybe 5 houses. Then we watched Army of Darkness until people had to go home. I felt really bad about meghan and charles not being invited, but in my own defense, i thought meghan told me that she was working late on Halloween and i really didnt invited anyone, becky did.
Monday was my day to hang out with Meghan and Charles cause i thought they hated me, so i had to make up for it. They wanted to meet Pat so he came too. We met at my house and went out to eat at National Coney Island. Its always fun to go out to eat with Meghan. We were originally gonna go see a movie, but Meghan decided that she would rather chill out and watch some at my house. So we watched Donnie Darko cause Pat had never seen it. It was definately a good night... :0)
The rest of the week went by fast. i hung out with Pat on wednesday then before i knew it, it was friday and i was packing to go to states.
We (>>--C-C--> again) had our last spaghetti dinner at Shari and Shelly's before we left. Coach videotaped us all weekend while eating, and right when we got up in the morning. (Im really hoping those shots dont make it onto the video...) Then we climbed into the two completely Pimp UCS vans that Coach and Testa were driving us in. We stopped at a gas station and drew all over the windows, didnt buy any gas. Then the suicidal "following coach debbie" trip began. To preface this, Coach Debbie is the worst driver EVER! We had to merge where there was no room to merge, cut off car-carrier trucks, drive over the white lines in order to make it off an exit cause she gave us no warning as to when we would get off, and get completely lost. The car ride was fun cause i was in Testa's van with Katelyn, Katharine, and Gina. Testa asked us nicely to never repeat anything he talked about concerning other teachers or students. It was funny as all hell though. What a fun ride, it would have been better though if i didnt have to pee really really bad or didnt have a migraine to deal with. When we got close, we passed a Day's Inn and we all kinda figured it was the right one cause of the size of the town we were in but does coach stop??? NO! We proceed to follow mapquest directions that lead us onto dark empty country roads and away from town. No way in hell there is a Day's Inn out on the middle of some country road. So we were kinda scared. Eventually coach called the hotel and it turned out to be the one we passed. By then my migraine had progressed from manageable to severe and i felt sick from it. So I collapsed onto the bed, took some advil put ice on my head and fell asleep for an hour. I woke up with a piece of pizza in front of my face. Mmmm... my headache was gone and all was right with the world. While i slept, Katharin, Katelyn, and Gina (my roommates) had colored me three picture of carebears to make me feel better! It was cute. Then Gina put some underwear on her head and i took a picture. Testa hung out with us for a while before lights out, what a funny guy. Then later, Testa's room was right next door so we were knocking on the wall and then we prank called him with an inside joke from the van ride. Good times. Katelyn... and Gina's "Protection" skit!! LMAO! "Should we turn the lights out?" LOL! Anyway... the next morning we had breakfast in some little mom and pop place in this scary town where everyone one knows eachother and their oil change shops are called "Glory to God". I had a belgein waffle with strawberries and strawberry ice cream on top. It was awesome. Then we were off to MIS. We did the usually, walked the course, bought shirts and wandered around aimlessly. There were sooooooooooooooooooooo many people there! It was huge! Watching the race was a phenominal experience. Shelly got all state and placed 17th, Shari missed top 30 by two places :0( The car ride home was equally fun but it felt really good to get home. Besides almost having a heart attack cause britney put her paint covered fingers all over my camera lens, the weekend was really good.
