Pressure? Did Someone Say Pressure? I Got Some You Can Have!

The condo changes like the spring weather. One day it's clean, every piece in it's proper place, and feels like home. Then the next day comes and there are boxes everywhere, sink fixtures sitting in the living room, and paint drying on the walls. It is maddening to come here after a long day of work and look around, thinking to myself, 'there's still so much to do.'

Tom is the captain of this ship. He searches the internet for the perfect bathroom tile, chooses where the furniture should go. I have no eye for interior design. Point me to a wall and tell me to paint it blue, that much I can do. I found this neat (and expensive) plastic sheet you fit into glass windows that gives it a totally different look. There's a stained glass design, an adorable cloud design, and delicate frosted look.. I choose 'rice paper'. It fits in perfectly with our theme and obscures just enough that I can comfortably walk around naked but my plants are still happily bathed in sunlight. That's basically my involvement. I paint and put up window treatments.

The one project that doesn't frustrate me is my garden. A few days ago Tom noticed the seeds for the bell peppers and eggplants had sprouted. This morning, they're over two inches! I was worried the birds had gotten into the planters and eaten all the seeds, but they are shooting up now. With the exception of the Purple Waffle that is hanging on the balcony, everything has been inside since last week. I was worried the strong winds and heavy rain would knock the smaller plants over and kill the sprouting seeds. Everyone seems to be happy in front of the windows, but hopefully the weather stop it's crazy ways so I can bring everything outside where they belong.

I get this weekend off from both jobs. Hooray! I crave creative release. This evening I prepared a little bit of hair for fun experimenting. Hopefully tomorrow I can cut and dye. I want to paint, but I lack canvas. I want to sew up a gorgeous club outfit, but I have pants to hem and shirts to mend. Oh well!
