I'll be working from the same timeline as everyone in our comm is. Right now I'm working from a just before TDK canon so that Rachel is on the same page as everyone else. I know it will take us awhile before we get to the place where Rachel dies, but when that happens she will be staying dead. I want to stick to canon with this. I love Rachel, especially in TDK, and I think cheating her death loses the integrity of her story as well as the stories of the canon muses who survive. She died bravely. Her death pushes a lot of the other canon muses to huge places in their character development. I know character deaths can be hard, and in the land of RP often we can hand wave and find ways around it. That said, in this case it will not be done. I will be writing her and fleshing her out, and developing relationships with those canon muses and those who come into the scene via RP. If I do a decent job then when she dies in our timeline it should allow those canon muses, and those who developed a relationship with her via rp, to feel the loss and deal accordingly.
If you don't want to get involved with a muse that you know is going to die and stay dead then this is your chance to opt out of this Rachel. I absolutely understand and will not be offended since deaths ic can really upset our pups. For those who choose to stick around, I look forward to getting the chance to write Rachel against you for the next few months.
