So my room looks like the back of a U-Hall truck because I have yet to unpack all of my stuff...Arg!!! I started my ministry internship Monday! Yay! I'm so excited. Our new praise team practiced last night for the first time for our new Wednesday night services. My brother, Chris, is playing the drums, I'm on guitar, a new friend Dave is playing piano, and Matt and Barbara are singing. Isn't it amazing how our Lord provides for His purposes? :)
Since I actually have time to reflect on the past year (my Sophomore year of college - scary) here are some revelations I had this year:
-worry adds nothing to your life, trust in God because He is always faithful to provide for His children, even when we do not see
-chivalry is not dead, who knew?
-true friends don't care what you look like without make-up and even offer to put yours on for you (right Andrea?)
-Trust in the Lord and even thank Him for your hardships (I had a lot of practice on this one this year), because that is how your faith grows
-Love and honor your parents
-Taco Bell is the saving grace for broke college students -It is good to be spontaneous sometimes! (The Old Mill, the mall, MacCalister's, forking someone's yard...)
-Choir gossip never gets old, eventhough you have heard the stories numerous times
-Weather accesories may be used as weapons of defense (that's for you, trent)
-William Shatner...nevermind...
-people you never thought that you would hang out with on a regular basis become your best friends
That's all for now, until a new wave of revelations hit...I love you all. Have a wonderful summer! Keep in touch!
