So I sang for ERWIN today. It went surprisingly well! :) We was like, "Rachel, you keep pitch very well. I am very impressed." Yay for Erwin.
Then I talked to Dr. Browne (the director of HAMLET) this is the jist of our conversation:
BROWNE: Hello, Rachel.
ME: Hey Dr. Browne, I was wondering if you are going to have understudies for Hamlet roles.
BROWNE: Well, I haven't thought about it. Why don't you sit down? Would you like to be an understudy?
ME: I suppose I would.
BROWNE: You just want to be involved, huh?
ME: I really do because "Hamlet" is the only play I had time for and I love Shakespeare, naturally, since I am an English Lit major.
BROWNE: Well, then I'll put you in.
ME: Really?
BROWNE: Yes. You can be in the "play" that Hamlet puts on for Claudius and in a couple of scenes here and there. You might not have any lines, though.
ME: Are you serious?
BROWNE: Yea, come to the production meeting next Friday, ok?
ME: Thank you so much!!!
BROWNE: I'm glad I could do this for you, Rachel. I really enjoyed your audition.
ME: Thank you, thank you, thank you! (numerous handshakes) Have a great Christmas break!
BROWNE: You, too. See you on Friday.
Cool huh? I'm happy that I get to be involved and wear a pretty costume and such and be with my friends on stage. YAY.
