tv... again...
so i was in the living room doing something and my dad had left the tv on a korean channel. so there was a show on talking about the latest doing of different stars, (kinda like what E! does) and a certain upbeat melody was being played. it was fun, upbeat and made you think of the colour yellow. hrmmm... what could it be?
what else could it be? it was the chocobo song! i mean, everyone knows how america is pretty strict with their licensing rights. and hey, if that was my job, i would be strict too. but korea seems to be completely lax about that. i mean, i know final fantasy is really big, but still. it's not like it's a classical piece by bach or beethoven or mozart where you don't really need to license it to play it for the public, you know?
and i'm starting to wonder if i record these happenings and send them to whatever japanese tv brodcasting station or company, if something will happen? because honestly, i don't think these songs are being licensed by whatever korean company or brodcasting station to play these songs on their stuff.
and maybe i'm just trying to find fault with korea and them trying up one on japan... but they're using their effing songs!!
man, if only my dad didn't try to raise me as "EVERYTHING IN KOREA IS NUMBER ONE!!!?!" then i probably wouldn't rant and rave about my own nationality. but hey, at least i still gripe about the US as well.
