okay, so who woke up at 5 in the morning to get to the manager's meeting this morning?
there was an interesting moment during the meeting where i was being stared at by everyone. cause last month's meeting, they voted to have one of my other co-workers to be the bookseller of the month, and that i would be may's. but since i got promoted, leads aren't allowed to be bookseller of the month. so everyone was arguing that i should still deserve it, and other people were saying that we should stick to the rules, then everyone stared at me, like i should decide what to do. psshh. but it was decided that my promotion was better than being bookseller of the month, so we voted someone else.
so... we had a lenthy conversation about what's going to happen at the "Midnight Magic Party". we can't call it the "harry potter party" because of copyright issues. how stupid.
i can't say certains things regarding the party and the books. cool, huh?
but i think i've decided... i want to cosplay (or dress up, whatever) as cho chang. i mean, how hard can it be? blue plaid skirt, white blouse/button up shirt, mary janes, flat or heels, knee socks and a blue tie. right? i've got the mary janes, and knee socks. i have a blue plaid skirt, but it's uh... pretty gothic. ooohhh... i could be a goth cho chang. i don't know. but i want to do it. it's fun to get into the spirit of things.
and dude. it's HARRY POTTER!!!!
oh, today was a bad day at work for me. i don't normally call it a bad day, but i haven't experienced one like it, so i'm just calling it bad.
i was in receiving today, because our other receiver was gone. but first, let's get into the backstory. for the past 2 weeks, there has been a different FedEx guy coming and doing the deliveries, not the normal vampire guy. and outta nowhere, vampire shows up.
but vampire has a bad habit. he likes to leave the boxes outside. ::shakes finger:: that's not his job. his job is to deliver the boxes inside. so when he asked me to sign it for him, i just flat out told him,
"unless you bring the boxes inside, i'm not going to sign for you."
he looked at me and said that "we do it together. i bring it and you bring it inside." and to that i just replied,
"it's not my job to bring it inside. it's your job to bring it inside. so unless you bring it inside, i'm not signing."
and as soon as he said no, i just walked away and casually told him that i was going to call my manager. so i did. and she came and told him to bring the boxes inside. and he was like, "we do it together.". she just repeated herself, and told him to bring them in. so he finally gave in, but flung 'em in and like what i did, she walked away. but she went to call his boss. so after he left, she came back and told us that his boss was going to visit the store tomorrow for a surprise visit for him. BOO-YA!
and THEN!!! our BN delivery guy came 3 hours late. 3 HOURS!!! so i was not a happy camper. but i did get to take a 2 hour nap after work, so...
and now i'm going to bed. ::snore::
