I think Ive gone through one of those phases where Ive been way too preoccupied with everything else in life so Ive momentarily gotten bored of LJ...Which is probably why Ive posted close to nothing all summer. Sorry guys. The pictures that I do have, I have little memory of the events they came from...So honestly, this post isnt that exciting at all. So I hope you didnt get your hopes up.
Okay...where do I even start...
I went to Pauls with a bunch of the girls...Oh...and Mike.
After watching/laughing at High School Musical, we made our way to some coffee place...Moka House? Yah.
We got there and Tasha was really persistant on her keish...Im personally not a big fan of the stuff so I didnt understand her creepy obsession...
I only say creepy because it left her like this:
All for...this?
And then we went back to Pauls house, where Paul tried on his girlfriends clothes...
Im not even gonna try to explain...
Oh yah. Forgot to mention. Thats Tasha's cousin...Heather? Fuck. Why does my memory suck all the sudden?
Whatever, shes got amazing eyebrows.
Okay. Moving on.
I had a complaint a little while ago about their not being any Bazzis in my post. So I went to his house a while ago specifically to take pictures of him to put on here.
Taken at the exact moment that the pizza guy rang the doorbell. Im not kidding at all. Dont deny it Bazzi.
We ate pizza, watched H.P. Lovecraft movies and then he walked me home.
And these are the only pictures I got the whole night. Sorry Baz. Ive let you down once again.
Okay. At the end of July/beginning of August, I had a whole bunch of drama and surprises ALL OVER THE PLACE. But I swear to you, they were all good.
My mom told me at one point specifically not to plan anything for the Tuesday that was coming up. The first I believe. So I had to get rid of my shift that day and everything, and she wouldnt tell me why I had to plan nothing for that day...I know...It sketched me out too. I love surprises but I hate not being in the know. Its very frustrating.
So she throws me in the car that morning and gives me my Metis sash to cover my eyes with...I felt like such a tool, you have no clue.
So we drove.
Then we stopped.
Then the door opened.
Then closed.
Someone had gotten in. With grocery bags.
We drove some more.
Stopped again.
I was pulled out of the car.
And being dragged somewhere by my mom and someone else. I could see their toes under the sash that was covering my eyes though. And I saw red toes. And I realised that it was Trina!!
If only you could have seen the confusion in my eyes.
They uncovered my eyes and I realised that it was a freakin surprise 'going away' party. Holy shit, right?
It was kind of a big deal for me, cause nobody has ever done anything like that for me before. So lets just take a minute to re-thank Trina, mostly, and Tasha and Paul too, since I hear they helped with the planning and the sneakiness.
It was basically a beach bum kind of thing, and I couldnt have loved it or appreciated it more.
Then this guy came to some of the guys, and told him his theory on...space? Ack. Memory has failed me yet again.
You had to be there. It was pretty...erm...special.
Then Tasha drew on me.
A friend of mine had recently introduced me to the coolest playground toy EVER.
Obviously we had to play on it.
We spun.
It was fun for a while...
But I think we all got a little tired of it...
We went to Mikes after that, and on the way we passed the best street ever.
Theres pictures from Mikes place too. I just have no idea where they are.
So the going away party was because I just moved to Cobble Hill, or as Trina and I like to call it, The Cob.
Since like two people have been here since I moved, I decided to take pictures around the house so that you guys could get some idea of what Im currently living in.
So I have a treehouse. And swings. And a forest behind my house.
And a hot tub.
And a hammock.
And a shed.
Some plants.
Dispite everything that might be even relatively cool around here, the reason why I even come home anymore:
The frogs.
The dog seems to like it around here.
The cat too.
Before we fixed up the hot tub, it was the home of tons of these guys.
Dont worry though, they dont like the chemicals that we use for the hot tub, so they havent been back since we fixed it up.
Oh yah. Theres a pond too.
Its kinda cool. We have a Buddah statue in it.
Second favorite thing about this house...We have white roses. You dont know how happy I was when I found them.
That about sums it up. Basically, I worked all summer. And the saddest part? I wouldnt have wanted it any other way. I had my last day at the Hillside McDonalds on Friday. MAN it was so sad! I cried once or twice, but tried to make sure nobody saw it...Cause seriously, only pansies cry when they leave McDonalds. But it was mainly provoked by one of my regulars. Hes an old man with a moustache and a sweet ride. For my last two weeks, he'd come to my til every morning for his coffee refills and he'd start off by calling me his favorite girl or his sweet little girl. It sounds creepy but hes honestly the sweetest old man Ive ever met, like, I cant even explain. Hes let me know on numerous occasions that the morning regulars are going to miss me and that Im the sweetest girl that theyve had work there in years. So OBVIOUSLY on my last day when he left, I was sooo sad. But he promised that he'd come visit me at my Mill Bay McDonalds with his grandson.
Saying goodbye to the maintenance guys was so sad too. Steve bought me TimBits as a goodbye present, but I couldnt accept them so I left them in the office for the rest of the crew. I had said goodbye to JL a few days before.
About two hours before my shift ended, I was asked to mop up some spilled root beer in back lobby, so I did, and I rushed back to help with the rush. A few minutes later I had some really angry people come to the counter asking to speak with a manager. I found out a few minutes later that the woman had slipped and fallen on my wet floor, and she had a big bump and a couple bruises on her leg because of it. The worst part about it is that I had forgotten to put up a wet floor sign...So they could file a lawsuit, if they wanted to...And it looked like they wanted to. Needless to say, my bosses werent pleased. Seriously, how does that happen to someone on their LAST DAY!?
Its okay though, I got tanked that night at my friends birthday party. It made up for the rest of the day.
But still, Im gonna miss that McDonalds so much. I loved the people there. I start at my other one tomorrow. It better be good.
Sorry that I didnt bring my camera to ANYTHING this summer. Seriously, I feel like such a retard cause I took NO pictures of anything all summer. Whatever. Theres always next summer.
