Hello all of my wonderful LJers! Bet you thought I forgot you! WRONG! I'm still here and I thought it was about time for an update. Now where should I begin?

Since the last time that I wrote, my life has changed completely. I've gotten a new job (or two), I bought my very first new car, I've moved into a beautiful house, and, most importantly, found the love of my life.

First thing is first. The job. After I got my degree, Disney just wasn't cuttin' it. I needed something a little more challenging, so I found what seemed like a great job at a marketing firm. In reality, the only "great" part about that job was the money. On a positive note, I did learn that whatever career I chose, I needed to feel like I was making a difference. Even a small one. I took a giant leap of faith and put in my two week notice, not having anything else lined up. At my other job, we had done a lot of work with a charity called Children's Home Society of Florida. This non-profit organization helps find loving homes for abused and neglected children as well as provides assistance to needy families such as teen mothers and low-income households. I had fallen in love with its mission. It just so happened that the same week I had my last day at the marketing firm, I was offered a position at CHS (with a little help from the President of my previous company). I've now been there for almost three weeks and I absolutely love it! The people are wonderful, my stress level is way down, and my commute to work is much, much shorter. What's more, I get to feel like I'm making the world a better place and helping those in need.

A friend of a friend helped me find a place to stay. I had been staying with my Grandma while I got myself together, when I heard about someone that needed a roommate. One look at the house told me that I definitely belonged there. Right on a beautiful lake, the house seemed made for me. Now, on pretty days I can take the canoe out right in my back yard. Not only that, but thanks to my first "real job," I was able to purchase a brand new, 2006 Volkswagen Beetle. My dream car! His name is Elvis and I adore him!

Now, the good stuff! I found my wonderful boyfriend, David. I'll have to save our story for a separate post because it's that special. I'll just say that I never dreamed that I could find a more perfect love. He's my best friend, my partner in crime, my everything. I am so excited about our future together.

Picture time!

Elvis! Fiddle-dee-dee! Keep that pelvis far from me!

David. The most wonderful boyfriend in the whole world.
