Humid again...

Jan 03, 2006 00:10

I really hate humidity. My hair is fuzzy & sucks- at least when I lived in Arizona when I straightened it, it stayed straight. Here it just sucks- curly, straight, etc. It's a pity that the weather affects it so much becasue it is super healthy & terrific right now otherwise. I do need to recolour it though, just can't be bothered at the moment.

Anyway, it is humid & gross. Not as hot; I think it's about 72 degrees right now, but the humidity must be about 90%. I hear varying forecasts, but I suppose the rest of the week is going to be cooler & rainy. Seriously, the summers here are anything but dull!

Didn't do much today/yesterday (it is after midnight, I was watching Lost and got too involved to write my journal entry); got up at 7:30am, fed & organized birds, took pills, had lovely breakfast of water, hot tea (which I rarely drink anymore, I am weaning myself off caffeine), fresh cherries & toast. I then worked on an entry for the new iconartistic challenge- I am very pleased with how it turned out. I can't wait to get my banners for the past two contests- got second in the "Fruit" competeition and the EBL challenge I got first in the other day.

In fact, for those who are interested, here is the link to my graphics journal that will specifically take you to my awards post. Yay for me!

Not much else going on. Tomorrow (today) will be a busy day, many errands to run but I hope to be home by early afternoon. After that I need to get busy on some new jewellery and bake the new polymer clay beads I made today- olive green and translucent ivory. I baked both pink sets today, so those are done. Mixing the olive green wasn't as bad as I thought it would be- just some dark pearl green to start with pearl gold and a bit of pearl silver. I was wearing my olive green & pink M*A*S*H singlet, so I just used that to compare colours as I went along, although I opted for a bit darker green tone.

Oh that's right, I still have contest entries to do tomorrow afternoon for a few other competitions. That & the jewellery & my aromatherapy homework will keep me busy!

Love & hugs to everyone!
