Ok, so I couldn't just sew all these fun presents for people and not sew anything for Lilah.  I've been wanting to do some applique stuff for awhile, but had never done it before, so that is why I tested on my pumpkin t-shirt for Friday first.  But here is what I really wanted to make her, and I think it turned out pretty ok!

That is adorable. I think you did a fabulous job. I also like the fact that you used a floral pattern for the dog. It's v. sophisticated!

Yeah, I wish I could take credit for anything other than picking out the fabric and doing the work on this particular onesie. LOL

That is so awesome! Sewing is one thing I could never get the hang of, but I think it's just SO COOL that you can do it and make custom clothes for your bebe.

I can do a few things...but this was mostly cut and iron! :-)

How did you do the edge? Do you have a serger? My 60s-era sewing machine can't do that!
I'll pay you to do one of those in size 4T or 5T for Sophie.

I bet it does - that's just a zig zag stitch that I reduced the stitch width on.

And lord help the poor fabric that meets me if I ever get a serger. It'll be jacked up for sure. LOL

That's adorable! I love the wrap around. I saw something similar on the Marths Stewart website and I've been telling my mom and grandma that they can totally make things like this for Audrey. And they keep reminding me that I had a sewing machine of my own. To which I remind them that I just had a baby and am way to exhausted to do anything more than change diapers and make bottles.
