(no subject)
a) I had some fig newtons around 1:30 today, and promptly forgot to eat lunch until 4:45pm. I'm not sure if that means I had fig newtons for lunch and an early dinner or if I'll just be hungry again at 10:00....
b) I felt mean during a trip to TJ Maxx today. I was carrying a duffel bag and a pair of slippers. The bag was folded flat and I had the slippers on top, so it wasn't a hardship to carry or anything. An employee of the store came from the store room, saw me, and said, "Oh, would you like a cart?" me: No, thank you. I'm fine. employee: I'll just go get one. me: Seriously - I don't need one, but thank you. employee: I'll be right back. me: I. DON'T. WANT. A. CART. employee: Seriously? me: YES. Seriously, I'm fine. employee: Oh, ok. Sorry.
Why did that even happen? I'm a pretty good judge of what I need, and I am perfectly healthy and fine to go get a cart should I need one. If I had been 8 months pregnant, or on crutches, then I likely would appreciate that, but I think the guy was just lacking the ability to understand social cues...
c) While I have yet to purchase a costume for Sydney, I did buy a rooster cat hat today at Target. It will be a complete and total waste of $5.00, except for all the laughter it will cause. And tears...
d) My pants are too long and consequently, the bottoms are now sopping wet because I managed to be out in all the rain.
e) I had NO idea that computers were toxic to the environment. :-(
