Why This Must Be Read:
I am a big ol' romantic, and combining fairy tales with SGA makes my heart go pitter-pat. Skoosie's take on the Cinderella story is light and fun, yet still emotionally resonates for me. John's Cinderella is a rebellious slacker who doesn't always do his chores in the expected fasion, and Rodney is the grumpiest Fairy Godfather ever. Kolya is the horrible stepfather, Laden and Cowan his two sons, while Kavanagh rounds out the storybook villains. Teyla, Ronon, Elizabeth and Radek are in the story, and part of the fun is seeing the characters pop up as the story progresses. It was a good winter's afternoon read.
