Aug 2006 sg_recs 1: 8 Coming of Age-ish Stories
Last month, I was asked in my LJ about coming of age stories, so I thought I'd start off the month with that theme. All of the SGA stories are some flavor of Sheppard/McKay AU, from all-out High School AUs to ones where they met before Antarctica, with some in-between, while the SG1 Jack/Daniel story is more, uhm, based in the series universe. There are interesting ideas in all of them, and the are each character driven, retaining the essence of who the show characters are within their younger selves. Each of them -- short, long, complete or WIP -- is worth a read.
