Elevators... and stuff

I have finally discovered why there is music playing in elevators. It covers up the awkward "we're sharing space/you're invading my bubble" silence.
In the elevators in my dorm, there is no music. So, the awkward silence is ever-present.
Just the other day there was the 'heavy breather'. Like huffing and puffing heavy. Like the pedophile/creepo kind. I was scared.
Then there are the hummers. Do they realize they're humming?
I really enjoy the PDA'ers. The couple that is making out. That's hott.
And opposite that the anti-PDA'ers. Yesterday there was a couple, and the guy kept winking at the girl. She kept giggling. He tried to grab her hand. She scooted it away.
I- on the otherhand- am a fidget-er. I play with my keys. I tap my fingers on the railing. I'm basically the obnoxious girl.

I don't  know why I'm so amazed by all this.

We also have the rude elevator riders. I always ask everyone else "what floor?" and push the buttons for them (I like pushing the buttons).
But there are a few people that don't even ask me to push a button politely, they say "push 6" . what the hell. say "can you please push 6? thanks". How hard is that?

How is it that both elevators in my building chose to die on the same day. OR, one will be broken... but you don't know which one. It's like the lottery. OR the doors only open half way and you have to slither out.
We have a new elevator and a REALLY old rickety one, the new one breaks 5x's more than the old one. Now that's weird.

thank you.
