So the 50 degree temperature swings can stop anytime now. No, really, anytime now. The constant up and down in temperature, combined with the massive amounts of snow we've had so far this winter have caused so many potholes everywhere that they can't keep up with patching them all and by the time they do the patches last all of a day or two before they're back to massive craters again and I spend my commute to and from the L station playing dodge the potholes. Let me tell you, its not as fun or as easy as it sounds.
Spent today hiding in my house, with the exception of the quick trip to the store as I was in need of groceries like nobodys business. The reason for the hiding was the fact that with the wind-chills we've been in the -20's to -30s today - which, I discovered, has caused me to not have hot water upstairs. I have cold water, ice cold water, but not hot. Thankfully its only upstairs that I'm having that problem and there was plenty of hot water in the downstairs bathroom.
Spent my day cleaning and watching Band of Brothers on History channel for the umpteenth time. There is so much eye candy in that miniseries it should be illegal and the casting directors should all have shrines built for them for their genius. No idea how I missed it before but Jamie Bamber had a small part in the mini - it took me a second to recognize him but a quick check on IMDB confirmed by suspicion that it was him.
And now I'm off to bed - with the bed warmer turned up to high. Stupid cold weather.
