Things that make you go hmmmm...

So Sunday morning I come downstairs and notice that there is a police car parked across the street. I think nothing of it until I open my front door to get my paper and am shocked to find a second police car parked in front of my neighbors driveway and there is a cop standing on their driveway glaring at me for trying to come out of the house to get my paper.

So I scurry back inside, paper in hand, and see two more cops come out of the house and eventually go back inside and a fourth walking around the outside of the neighbors house.

Okay, so I finish getting ready for work and leave, at which point one of the cops has two people who I don't recognize outside and is talking to them.

Go to work, get home 5 hours later and find that all of the cars are gone from the neighbors house. Neighbors never come back on Sunday and by 3:00 on Monday afternoon, when I left to take my newly arrived grandparents out to my dad's their still has been no sign of said neighbors.

Monday night, 8:30 p.m. arrive home to feed the cat before heading off to work to watch guys clean the floors and carpet for 3 hours, discover that neighbors have returned with friends and have emptied entire contents of house onto their driveway and front yard.

Return home at 12:45 a.m. to find that neighbors plus friends are loading said contents into a pick up truck, and prolly have been for the 3 hours that I've been gone, although while the pile is slightly smaller it's not really.

9 a.m. this morning finds said neighbors making final load-up. And that they are leaving at least 1/4 of the pile for the garbage men...and strewn around the driveway and the yard.

*sighs* Which means that in about 2 days I'm going to be sick of looking at the dirty yard and will go clean up the remainder of the junk.

And what I really want to know is what the hell happened with the cops that my neighbors moved out in the middle of the night?

In other news, I got nice and high off floor cleaning fumes last night...and was good and nauseated by time I left. Then spent 20 minutes trying to find mall security to let us out of the damn building.

Foot bruise is turing a nice purple/blue/green/yellow color and is still puffy in some areas. Definitly not a shoe friendly foot.
