My take
So last night was S3 premiere of Alias. After having spent the last 2 weeks overdosing on S1 DVD's and crying cause S2 isn't out, and re-discussing theories with queenofperv, we all settled in to watch the premiere.
Okay, so...
Can I say I'm still adjusting to the whole missing two years thing. shipperchick didn't think they'd actually stick with the story. Oh, you J.J. doubter, you. She was obsessed with the fact that Will wasn't in the ep tonight and was severly lacking in some past knowledge.
Example:
"Where's Emily?"
"Um....dead."
"Yeah, but she wasn't really dead."
"Shipper, she really died in S2. Like shot dead by Dixon. How do you not know this? Just how many episodes did you miss?"
Moving on. Totally in love with the Syd/Vaughn angst. I'm all for my shippy couples being happy, but you know, I like them to ride off in the sunset together. So while it hurts a bit to know that thier not together right now, I'm also happy to be able to angst over them again.
One little thing that is totally bothering me. The huge Syd/Vaugn confrontation where she got all high and mighty about how she would have waited for him. Beautiful scene, amazing, powerful, totally angsty, and hypocritical with a captial H. Danny wasn't dead for half of the first season before she was involved with NOAH! And then a little over a year after Danny died she was in deep with Vaughn! We don't know how long Vaughn has been married. Jack, who's only been in solitary for a year, was totally surprised that Vaughn was married, so I'm assuming he's been married less than a year. They had a body, they, meaning everyone believed that Syd was dead. They buried her. They mourned her. And yes, they moved on with their lives. Yes, she's confused and upset and the heart doesn't think rationally in those situations, but still. Pot to Kettle, you're Black.
Spy!Family reunion! I cried! I [Heart]
Spy!Daddy. I'm so missing Spy!Mommy. I so called the whole Spy!Daddy would turn to Spy!Mommy last May! And can I tell you just how much I was bouncing when Jack said he turned to the one person he believed he could trust! ::clings to her J/I ship::
But back to the Jack & Syd reunion. AWWWW, can I just say AWWWWWW! And the hug! AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
Love Weiss. LOVE Marshall! And he's gonna be a daddy! How totally cute is that.
WANT the hair, and red dress they had on JG last night. Oh, yeah, and the red convertible.
So worth the 3 month wait.
