Autocross.
what a way to burn some disposable income than playing in a parking lot while burning up expensive tires with other driving enthusiasts. it's been years since i've raced, but it doesn't mean i'm retired. luckily, this weekend there was a practice autocross. a shorter course than i'm used to, a cheaper price, and so many runs that we would end up leaving early because we ran out of tire tread.
while my cousin's car was heckled from the non-driving audience of the football field, the racers were impressed and amused as to its runs on the course. this was mostly because well, it is a bone-stock civic. complete with 14" rims and xxxxtra tall touring tires. going through the slalom, the only thing you heard was the tires' banshee screech. the rear end would swing out naturally without any aid. in my head i hear the "UNDA UNDA UNDA" best motoring and eugmoon is infamous for. the smell of burnt rubber and carbon infest your nose as the plethora of exhaust notes sing in your ears. i miss it. it makes me want to take keiko out to play when i get home.
a few more days out here then back to reality. i hope some wheels will be in motion this week...once they are, i'm sure to have an announcement for those who tune in to this journal.
