Hee-larious Poll
Did you guys see this article on BuddyTV.com dating back from July 16th? As far as I am aware it has flown under the radar of all the racebending.com sites (here, the facebook group, etc.) until today.
It has a factual inaccuracy that Sifu Kisu would have a beef with (it says Aang's bending comes from Asian cinema) but is otherwise coverage on the controversy. The comments show an array of opinions. Best of all, there is a poll (that I believe is now closed) on the website asking BuddyTV readers what their opinion is on the casting.
Almost two thousand people have taken the poll and a whopping 87% are disappointed with at least one of the actors cast.
(Surprisingly, Dev Patel, who has the best proven acting chops of the bunch, has the lowest approval rating--I wonder why that is? Is it backlash over a dark skinned actor playing a light skinned character, and if so, why wasn't there more backlash over the other way around?)
