These are the fruits of our brainstorming session today. We'd really love your input and any other ideas you guys can come up with to spread the word!
Ideas:
-Art Thread
DK's comments: We can always use more art, so the idea for this thread (which should go up sometime in the near future) is for some art collaboration: artists can post their racebending-related art, and those less-artistically endowed (like me ^^") can post their ideas for art. (But I'll still try to draw a little, if you could stand it.) :D
-Protest Photographs
DK's comments: Since the videos are proving difficult for a lot of people, maybe a photograph would be an easier version of it. Photograph yourself, friends and family holding a "Boycott THE LAST AIRBENDER racebending.com" sign (or something similar: the sign will probably be standard but it's up for discussion what will be on it). Cosplay and other decoration encouraged. I was also thinking that maybe people should wear something unifying (think about how green is being used by the current Iran protests, pink by breast cancer awareness activists, etc. Something like that. Which brings us to the next idea...)
-People Against Racebending symbol
DK's comments: Relates directly to the green and the pink mentioned above. A simple symbol that we can feature in our photographs or alternatively our art. The idea we discussed in the chat (and also ultimately decided against) was a white-dot on one cheek and a yellow-dot on the other cheek. It's very simple, easy, and you can draw it on your art. I'll play around with this and hopefully have a post up that elaborates more on it next week.
-Chain Letter
DK's comments: Yeah, yeah, they're really annoying and you just delete them so the challenge is to make them catchy. Also, personally, my parents like this stuff. Maybe other parents will too. Something short, catchy, and to the point. There should be a thread about this in the future too, but we can always use ideas about what's going to be in the chain letter.
Sound off, below!
Also, you've probably heard by now that Mike and Bryan* will be at SDCC. The movie and the casting are going to inevitably come up so... yeah. Be on your toes.
*fixed! Sorry...
