Got these off a post in AvatarSpirit. Nickelodeon is now showing ads promoting the KCA, with Jackson Rathbone and Nicola Peltz doing some slime-bending. I feel kinda insulted by the fake Asian characters. It's like, that's what the Asian language looks like to you? Complete gibberish? Like it doesn't have an internal logic and coherence (that just happens to be different from the internal logic and coherence of the English language)?

Why are they having such trouble with people's names? Duh, clearly didn't watch the original show...

The nice thing about the Chinese Hanzi that was used in the show was that hanzi was adopted into the Japanese (kanji), Korean (hanja), and other Asian writing systems.

Oh agreed, I think being insulted is the proper reaction! Clearly they wanted another excuse to distance themselves from the fact that this is set in a fantasy Asia since they didn't cast that way... but this is such a slap in the face. It actually seems more difficult for them to come up with this cheap knockoff than just hire someone who can write in a real language. But I guess they wanted to bastardize everything in this movie into some generic world with no respect for the actual cultures it was derived from. :/
