Calling all elementary, middle, and high school age kids!
Okay, so any of you who have been closely following this movement will know that we've been focusing on college groups lately, right? Well, if you're a kid at high school or lower, then how would you feel about helping out? Remember, the movie's main demographic will be the same as the TV show - kids.
Try to spread the word at school. Write an article for the school paper, put together a club, bring it up in a class discussion. You could pass out flyers at school functions, such as sports and dances, or if your school allows this type of thing you could even tape up posters. It could even be anonymous. Type up your story and slide it under the door of whatever teacher runs the paper, for example.
Just be prepared for people to ignore or laugh at what you're saying. Most schools view race as a sticky subject and might try to block out your reasoning. As long as you follow your school rules and don't encourage other kids to do things they shouldn't, then you will hopefully be good to go.
