new school
i started classes this morning at the u of u. it is already freaky. first of all there are swarms of people everywhere you look. it's like being in the airport at christmas time everywhere. then there are the crazy "christians" with signs shouting at students as they walk by about the love of jesus being the ONLY love in your life. they are actually saying that you can't depend on anyone's love in your life, not your parent's or your spouse's or your sibling's love...only Jesus. and they're waiving signs that read "give the love of Jesus a second chance." it's completely ridiculous. I can't believe it. and then there's the weirdness that no one is recognizable. at covenant you know everyone at least by sight and usually a little bit of gossip about them. it would be impossible to do that here. my two classes this morning had over two hundred students in them...each. i know i'm talking like a bumpkin here but it's overwhelming coming from a college of 2000 total. but i'm hoping that by starting to write on livejournal again I'll be able to keep up with all you dear one from covenant better and let you know what's going on with me. I hope that classes start well for you all tomorrow. you have no idea how sorry i am that I can't be there with you. much love and prayers though.
