Title: Secret
Author: dark_n_silence / racchannokotoba
Fandom: Lead
Pairing: Kagimoto Akira / Taniuchi Shinya
Genre: Fluff
Rating: PG
Summary: Akira tells Shinya a secret.
Word Count: 760
Warnings: None.
Notes: Hooray for my comeback into the writing world. My first one-shot in forever. And a pairing I don't usually write, but somehow Shakira fit this story idea better than my usual Akifu. Plus, Shinya needs more love. :) Also, um, random idea is random and may not make a lot of sense there at the end. Sorry about that. I'm running on basically no sleep.

“Wanna know a secret?” Akira said as he bounced onto the couch next to Shinya.

Shinya sighed. No doubt it was no secret at all, merely a message to be passed along or some random bit of information not yet known to him. But that was the way Akira worked; he liked to think of everything as a secret that only he knew, and only he had the power to tell everyone about. This was certain to be no different.

Still, Shinya feigned interest in an attempt to be nice, although really all he wanted to do was finish the lyrics he was working on in peace. “What kind of secret?”

“The really super secret kind,” Akira giggled.

Again, a sigh. Really. Akira was 21 now, but still was able to retain the mentality of a 9 year old if he so wished. Which was practically all the time.

“If it’s so secret then why are you telling me?” Shinya asked.

“Well, because it involves you.”

That made Shinya blink. A secret about him? Really? Now he didn’t have to pretend he was interested. Then again, Akira could just be playing with him. He liked to do that sometimes. Then again…

“You haven’t been reading my journal or anything, have you?” Shinya raised an eyebrow.

“Of course not.” Akira smiled innocently. “Although I have to say, as a concerned friend, if you don’t want anyone to read it then you should find a better hiding spot. Underneath your pillow is just too obvious.”

Shinya mentally reminded himself to get a lockbox or something later that day.

“But really, this secret has nothing to do with that.” Akira smiled again.

Now Shinya’s curiosity was getting the better of him. Damn Akira. “Ok, I’ll bite. What is this super secret secret that involves me?”

Akira looked around-checking to see if anyone was nearby, Shinya suspected-then leaned close and whispered, “I know someone who likes you.”

Shinya didn’t miss a beat. “Yea, only a million fangirls all over Japan.”

“No, I mean like, someone you know.”

“Really? Who?”

“…I promised I wouldn’t say,” Akira said, and Shinya mentally sweatdropped. “I wasn’t supposed to tell you but I thought you should know.”

“I swear, Akira, if this is one of your random little games…” Shinya threatened.

“No really! I’m not joking this time!” Akira defended, sounding genuine. “I said that I wouldn’t tell straight out, but I was allowed to admit it if you guessed who it was.”

Shinya sighed and closed his lyric notebook. He probably wouldn’t get anymore done at this point until Akira decided he got bored with this game. Oh well, he was stuck anyway; he could use a distraction.

“Ok, so if I guess who this girl is…”

“Guy,” Akira interrupted.

“What?”

“The person that likes you is a guy.”

Shinya raised an eyebrow, but didn’t say anything. It wasn’t unusual for them to have fanboys on occasion, especially given the fact that three-fourths of their group pretty much looked like girls anyway. “Ok, um, if I guess who this guy is, then you have to tell me?”

“Something like that.”

“And it’s someone I know?”

A nod.

Shinya thought for a minute. “How well do I know them exactly?”

Akira shrugged. “Well, you see them like, every day.”

Shinya crossed people who he didn’t see very often off the list. “It’s not one of the dancers, is it?”

Akira laughed. “No, not them. Someone closer than that.”

Closer than that? There weren’t a whole lot of people closer than that.

“Don’t tell me it’s Keita or something.”

Akira laughed again. “No, but you’re on the right track.”

“Hiroki?”

“No.”

“Who else is there?” That’s what Shinya would have asked, if he hadn’t, at that moment, noticed that all the while they were talking, Akira had been getting closer and closer. And really, it would have been a stupid question to ask, because there was really only one person left to think of, and he was sitting right in front of him.

Before Shinya could change his question into something else, Akira closed the distance between them and kissed him.

Shinya was pretty sure his brain short-circuited for a moment, but before he could react, Akira had already pulled away, putting a finger to his lips and reminding him, “Remember, it’s super secret, so don’t tell anyone, ok?” before flitting off to find something else to do.

Shinya watched Akira’s back as he retreated. Then he sort of smiled, opened his notebook, and began writing.

Distraction indeed.

Comments highly appreciated. =^_^=
