Age:17
Likes:
Libraries, old books, anthropology (linguistic, cultural and biological), history (particularly Asian and South-American), languages, neuropsychology (this one is the love of my life), school, 'pure' people, statistics, science magazines, JSTOR, finding research paper topics and reading the relevant literature, anime, manga, pajamas, pillows.
Dislikes:
Crowds, loud music (consequently, people who walk around in the subway while I can hear their music), group projects, intellectual dishonesty, stupidity, lack of curiosity, overemotional people, exercising, having to take action, vegetables, people who try to drag me to clubs or bars (even if I was old enough), housekeeping tasks, spelling and grammar mistakes, depending on others, bullies, exhortation, people who still can't use proper referencing styles after two years of college, people who can't appreciate sarcasm, being called an overachiever, people who call me smart and then have a pathetic attempt at manipulating me.
Hobbies: Learning in general, reading (fiction and otherwise), messing around on the internet, annoying others about the most recent thing I learned, tutoring college statistics, violin, piano.
Would You Rather...
Be single, or in a serious relationship? Be single. I've never wanted a serious relationship, nor was I ever in one. It would be too troublesome, and the interdependency involved in that kind of relationship would just annoy me. Furthermore, I'm pretty uninterested in having a sexual relationship, so there's really no point--I'd rather have a deep friendship, if anything.
Be a fighter or a sacrifice? I'd probably rather be the sacrifice. I have no battle abilities, so it would be easier if I was the sacrifice.
Be street-smart or intellectual? I already am an intellectual. To be frank, if I could only have one of the two, I'd rather stay as I am. I would appreciate having a bit more 'street-smart' common sense, though--my lack of it has often led me into trouble.
Live alone, or with a room mate? Alone. A room mate would annoy me to death, and I would annoy them to death (I'm messy).
Live a short, exciting life, or a long, quiet life? I'd prefer to live a long, exciting life :P If I had to choose, I'd rather a long but quiet life to have the opportunity to learn as much as I can.
A little-known fact about you: I skipped a grade. Actually, I WISH it was a little-known fact among the people at school. Unfortunately, at some point, one person always figures it out and spreads the news.
Who do you look up to as a model for how to live your life? No one.
What do people appreciate most about you? My intrinsic curiosity, my maturity laced with childish enthusiasm, my strong logic and analytic abilities, my objectivity, the fact that I'm actually trustworthy even though I'm good at manipulation when circumstances demand it.
Three positive words to describe yourself: Curious, strong (not physically), mature.
Three negative words to describe yourself: Bored, lazy, cold.
What quality do you value most in others? Intelligence.
The world's not a perfect place. What would you want to change about it? The education system. Too many children are not in the grade they belong in, whether the directionality be up or down.
You're not perfect, either. What would you change about yourself? I'd change how easily I am bored. I'd be much easier to maintain if I didn't need constant mental stimulation of some kind.
Do you believe in people? Not at all. Others will always fail you.
In yourself? ... Yes and no. No and yes. I am arrogant, yet insecure.
If you were given the chance to become one of the characters for a short period of time, who would you choose? Ritsuka. Although it would be terrifying, I'm curious as to what it feels like NOT to remember things.
If you had the chance to become a part of the Loveless-verse (as yourself) for the rest of your life, would you take it? If my partner was an interesting person, sure.
Who is your favorite character? Kio and Ritsuka.
Your least favorite? Misaki.
Show us 1-2 pictures of yourself! (No cosplay pictures, please) If you don't have a picture, give a brief description of yourself.
Note: This is not a mirror rating, however, seeing what your aesthetic is does tell us more about your personality!
Short. Relatively thin. Very pale-skinned; computer-bleached. Yellowish green eyes. Light brown hair; messy. Glasses; crooked, dirty or to low on my nose. NEVER any makeup. Comfortable and nerdy clothes that are often too big for me (pajamas when at all possible).
OPTIONAL BONUS QUESTION*
Defying all expectation, a group of Scottish marine biologists capture a live Loch Ness Monster. In an almost unbelievable coincidence, a bear hunter in the Pacific Northwest shoots a Sasquatch in the thigh, thereby allowing zoologists to take the furry monster into captivity. These events happen on the same afternoon. That evening, the president announces that he may have thyroid cancer, and will undergo a biopsy later that week. You are the front-page editor of the New York Times: What do you play as the biggest story?
DEFINITELY the mythical creatures.
