Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Kida's going through a growth spurt, but is still shorter than most of the upper classmen. I'm pegging him at about 5'7.
He is a noodle japanese boy. And more rangy than wirey.
2. How old is he?
I am ASSUMING 16, but if not sixteen yet he's pretty close to getting there.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
Depends on the face he's wearing. If he's being cheerful and care free, he walks pretty straight, may lace his hands behind his head. If he's being a gang leader he slouches a bit and has loose shoulders. If he's not pretending to be anything he tends to walk pretty casually with his head down and a slight slouch.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He's a very averagely healthy boy. He's more fit than he looks but that's about it.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
He has a spastic sort of fluidity. Kida moves a lot. His arms are all over the place. He poses and gestures. He has a huge ability to use his body to convey ideas, and because of that he is USED to using it.
With that in mind, he can be all of these things in the right situation. His emotions control his movements a lot. MOST of the time, though, he is pretty much the fluid spasticity.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
I think Kida finds himself and ordinary sort of good looking. He knows he's not a bishounen or anything. But he's sure not UGLY and he has a pretty unique look. Generally speaking. I would say he thinks he looks good enough that girls wouldn't generally turn him down for not being good looking enough =|b
And I mostly agree with that. Kida has a certain hotness to him but it's more in his movements ansd personality than his body.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Fairly light complex, no notable scars.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
Normally dark brown/black, he has bleached it and is apparently pretty good at it's upkeep. No surprise, he's a bit vain. I imagine because of that it isn't super silky soft, but I wouldn't say it's terribly dry or anything either. Average.
9. What color are his eyes?
Brown.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
He wears silver earrings and has silver bracelets on each wrist.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
If I understand this question right, fists. He definitely makes fists when he's upset. Also eyebrows, but he can keep his face smooth better than his fingers.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Seems to favor neutrals (either white or dark gray) splashed with brighter colors. But I imagine that is more for simplicity. Kida has a certain look to him and I think he likes it, and doesn't rely on very detailed clothing to enhance it. But he is probably comfortable with all colors.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
In a comfortable fitted way, yes. And yes he is comfortable in them.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
WELL when he is being a GANG LEADER he puts on a yellow scarf. And he doesn't otherwise have a job. So yes he always wears the same thing.

I'm going to go with boxers here.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
It's a light but masculine voice generally, but he's really vocally flexable and can be hoarse and rough or high pitched or just loud.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
However he wants! Kida is good at presenting himself in various ways. He can point dramatically and give a shounen speech, he can flirt, tease, yell,
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Another 'whatever he wants' one. Actor, puts them in or takes them out as he pleases, etc. His voice raises when he gets excited, he draws out words, he loves Engrish.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
He speaks Japanese fluently and Engrish better than English, but I guess his English is upward-decent for a highschool level.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
He throws Engrish in whenever he feels like it, usually as an exclamation but sometimes part of the sentence.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
He's a great impromptu speaker if he's just screwing around and having fun. He can chat ENDLESSLY, he could make a speech with perfect confidence, he can give people orders. If he gets emotional he tends to say things he regrets, or needs time to think.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Lol. He is so all of the place you could almost call him inarticulate, but that's part of the charm. No, in his own way, Kida is eloquent. Mostly he's just talkative. He can talk almost in a stream of conscious manner for a while and not get tripped up.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
Mostly street-smart, but pretty decently book-smart too. Mostly comic books. Basically he's pretty above average, but not super observant? He isn't very good with long term plans, or manipulating events that go beyond one or two people. He was probably more creative as a kid, gang life seems to made him a lot more direct. But basically while he can make smart short term plans and decisions, he's not good at seeing the long term effects or anticipating what might be next. He lacks Mikado and Izaya's manipulative nature in that way. BUT he sort of makes up for it in immediate manipulativability, since he can lie well, put on various faces, and generally get people around him to do what he wants.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
Boooth. I wouldn't say he's especially better at one than another. If he's thinking on his feet. If the pressure is on he has a flight response, but if it's just social interaction or someone that doesn't intimidate him, he's very clever. It's just when he feels threatened he would rather get out of there then they to do anything fancy. And when a situation is serious he likes to deliberate, but honestly I don't think it does him any favors, he seems to just stew over a situation until he depresses himself more.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Eeh, intuitive and practical. He has a healthy amount of logic in there too, but to be honest Kida makes better choices when he follows his gut instinct. He has a pretty good read on people, but they CAN convince him he is wrong, and he tends to regret that later. Kida will usually follow logic over intuition if logic appears to contradict intuition for a bit, but he reacts intuitively first. And otherwise Kida contains his sense of idealism tooo... Mikado. And Anri. In all other things he is completely practical.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
Up through a little more than halfway of his freshman year of highschool.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
His area of expertise is being a lying liar face and uh. A social butterfly. While he enjoys a varity of things he seems to have no future plans beyond avoiding immediate events, much less wanting to learn anything in specific.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
Extrovert! Leaving Kida alone for any period of time gradually wears him out. Now, he does have the introvert tendency to be energized by a few friends more than a large group of people, but that's more out of love for them. Being the center of attention energizes him more than tires him. Left completely to his own devices he becomes depressed.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Right NOW he's very moodswingy because serious shit is going down and he is super anxious and stressed out. Under normal circumstances he has a very cheerful demeanor and even temper.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
If the new situation is BAD he gets tense and freezes up a bit, or gets threatening. But just a general 'doing a new thing!' and 'meeting new people!' is very exciting for him, he's chatty and interested and enthused by people.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
Act. Kida is VERY forward moving. People who follow him often do so because of his ability to put thought into action. He doesn't put things off, wait, hold back, or spend too much time on the details. He goes forward with whatever it is he feels like doing and lets the rest fall into (or out of) place at his feet.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Flight if he is with people, overpowered or scared. But he's not honestly all that timid, and if he is alone or people don't intimidate him he is absolutely okay with a brawl. Kida's concerns are less with his own personal safety and moreso that of the people around him. While he has VERY HEALTHY survival instincts, they only apply in extreme life-or-death situations.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
ALL OF THE ABOVE. AND MORE. FOREVER.
Kida's 'jokes' are... it's not even what we could a joke in English. He has a heavy humorous persona that he wears most of the time, he is always joking. He doesn't TELL jokes, he just, acts in such a manner.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
Not in the way this question means. He's certainly stressed to all hell and back.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
Oooooooh god. TOO MANY that's why he has so many facets to his personality. TOO LAZY WATCH THE ANIME.
14. What does he fear?
His friends being hurt because of him, not being able to protect them, losing them, going back to his gang life, Orihara Izaya, Heiwajima Shizuo, The Black Rider, the Slasher, basically SCARY THINGS THAT YOU SHOULD PROBABLY BE AFRAID OF + most social anxieties related to friends.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
Lolol. To go live a normal life with his friends \o/
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
That he's a gang leader, that he has a crippled girlfriend who was injured because of him and who he couldn't save, that Orihara Izaya scares the fuck out of him, that he has a dark and dangerous personality and can generally do some pretty lousy things, that he is utterly dependent on his friends, that he isn't actually trying to get a girlfriend.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
I am 99.9% sure that the Kida family is negligent. He appears to live at home, and certainly his family moved him to Ikebukuro, but basically he clearly goes through life doing whatever he wants and only being held accountable by whatever responses his own actions produce. He can skip school, go anywhere, lead a gang, hang around at home all day, leave in the middle of the night, and basically do anything. On TOP of that, when he was at the absolute worst place of his life, the adult he turned to was Orihara Izaya, and the only adult we ever see giving him good advice is Dotachin. BASICALLY, for a kid who REALLY NEEDS some parental love and guidance, he gets none. This also sort of explains his dependency on his friendships: he doesn't have a fallback in family.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
I don't think so, if he does they probably went off to University already and have no relationships to speak of.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
Nooot as far as we know.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
Don't think so.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Ryuugamine Mikado! They grew up in the same town together and have been bffs since early elementary shool.
6. Does he have other close friends?
Sonohara Anri is a girl he and Mikado both went after at the same time, and ended up converging in a sort of romance/love comedy where he flirts outrageously and Mikado tries to show some tact. She is more friend than potential lover, if only because he decided to give her up to Mikado (who has never had a girlfriend). But he's just as protective of her as he is of Mikado.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
He makes friends really easily, but he has a very small group of close friends. Like a lot of popular people, those that flock to him aren't really people he feels very close to and don't really know much about him.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Friends. Lulz 8D;
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
Currently single. Has had quite a few girlfriends. But it seems like only one of them really mattered.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
He's in a love triangle with Anri and Mikado and being mongled by his crazy ex-girlfriend that he's still in love with.
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
NO IDEA some cute girl with pigtails in kindergarten I'm sure. Latest was Anri.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
Boobs. Legs. Boobs. Hips. Etc. It's not that he's ONLY shallow it's that he he isn't looking for anything serious so he looks at shallow things.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
No he doesn't have any. Aaand, he might want some if you asked him about it, but I doubt he's thought about it much and he probably hasn't even thought that hard about ever getting married.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Mostly Orihara Izaya, who enjoys making Kida's life miserable. The Blue Square gang (which has disbanded and been absorbed into Kida's gang) and specifically or Horada who is gradually eroding Kida's gang right out from under him. The Slasher, who attacked his friend.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
A very comfortable 1. Kida LIKES GIRLS and any checking out of boys (noting bishounen and such) is done without interest in having sex with them. THAT SAID, homosexuality doesn't bother him at all, and he's aware he will probably have some EXPERIMENTS at some point in his ADVENTUROUS YOUTHFUL GOLDEN YEARS. Either with a close male friend or just with some guy to try it out. Or possibly in a mfm sandwich or something =|a HE'S THOUGHT ABOUT IT. But identifies as straight.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
SEX IS EXCELLENT. HE IS SUPER INTO SEX. Unfortunately he's not actually as into relationships as he acts, he isn't as much of a playboy as he appears to be, and subsequently doesn't get laid as much as he could. But just because he prioritizes things OVER sex doesn't change the fact that he VERY MUCH DOES LIKE.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
Any part of the female anatomy + his dick. He is not SUPER INCREDIBLY EXPERIENCED because he's still young, but he's had several partners. It all stayed pretty vanilla and short lived but yanno. YOUTH. As such he hasn't developed a lot of kinky or whatever shit =|b
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
June 19th! Making him a Gemini which he is basically the perfect example of. Two-sided, quick witted, life of the party, information gather/sharer, incredibly chatty but not without direction (despite appearances), generally prone to mood swings, surprisingly coldly calculating.
Year is sort of irrelevant because it changes from anime to novels 8D;
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Neither, however, he does seem to have a fascination in mythology shared by a few other characters in the series. Not an especially large one, but he's more likely to reference a fairy tale than a religion. I doubt he thinks about any of it very much, and in general Kida doesn't seem to have faith in a lot outside of the people closest to him. Similarly, he's very grounded. He DOES believe in... Dullahans, and by extension things like espers and such, but as far as a greater cosmic power in the universe, or a deeper meaning to life, not so much.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Kida has a complex but pretty intuitive sense of ethics. He obviously doesn't have a problem with lying, fighting, blackmailing douchebags, starting gangs, being an asshole to other assholes, being a womanizing flirt, and various other things that people generally consider character vices.
However, he's very much a good guy. He goes out of his way to help people in need, particularly people being bullied. The thing about Kida is he has a karmic sense of response, and basically feels just fine about giving as good has been previously given. Are you a bully that beats kids up? He will punch you in the face. Are you an asshole who skeeves on little girls? He will manipulate your character weaknesses to ending you. If you otherwise a thug or a delinquent, he's willing to use that part of you for his own causes, but he won't create such people if he can avoid it. A good straight A kid that has never been in a fight won't get into his first one because Kida dragged him into it, basically.
But once people have chosen a certain path for themselves, he's find with reacting on their level.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Eeh. It sort of depends on where it falls on the moral scale of things. Things that are bad are just bad, whether it's his own beliefs and actions or someone else's. He really doesn't sugar coat and bullshit to feel better about himself or anyone else. So if it's unethical it's unethical, and it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks on the subject. But if it's NOT unethical, I don't think he cares very much. He may find it interesting. He will probably happy listen to it. He's not likely to convert or anything.
The one thing the CAN'T STAND is the troll type belief system that involves seeing if people are 'interesting' in that aloof, I am a dickwad way. FASTEST WAY TO MAKE KIDA NOT LIKE YOU.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
Lol. Gangs. Organized crime in general. Trolls, bullies. Anyone who preys upon those weaker than them just because they can. Anyone who taints kind or innocent people just to take from them, hurt them or manipulate them. These are all pretty good things to be prejudice against, but I think it mostly developed out of fear of seeing what he cares for get hurt. And of course, from his own time in a gang which broke him. And from Izaya being Izaya.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
His family seems to be comfortable, but Kida himself doesn't have a sizable allowance and isn't seen spending money very often.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
In general, he is a fairly popular and well liked boy who everyone knows and most people seem to have respect for. He is not popular in the 'all the girls want him' way (as much as he would enjoy that). He's the class clown type that is so exuberant you just have to notice him. And I think people respect him because he's a decent person, and has that quality of putting thoughts' into action that kids like Mikado really envy.
Then there's his street-life social status. For a while he was a gang leader, and now he's one again. But this isn't really much beyond that. His gang calls him shogun and half of them don't follow his orders as soon as his back is turned. He knows his position as leader is weak and won't be able to keep the yellow scarves from running wild eventually. But because of his gang and his time as a gang leader, he has a fair amount of street cred and connections.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
He lives apparently in a house, but we've never seen any part of it except his room. It's absolutely just a place to crash or talk on the internet. His room is pretty sparse, lacking in posters, momentos, or really anything to make it feel warm and lived in. Probably because he doesn't like it there.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
Russian sushi? Again, not a big spender =|b He mentions knowing where to find cheap clothes, so those I suppose.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
Student and gang leader. Lately he sucks at both. But he'd rather go back to being a student and drop the gang leader bit.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
People and hanging out with them! And hitting on girls. He has things he likes, such as manga, video games, and just wandering around town or chatting on the internet but it tends to come back to a need to be social.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Kida CAN cook. It's not inspired cooking but if it's a good recipe he can make it into a good meal. But he mostly DOESN'T since cooking alone for yourself in a kitchen is depressing. He eats instant food and, if he can afford it, goes out with friends once in a while. He'll skip on meals if he's not hungry, and basically eat whatever is on hand if he is. He is not above stealing other people's food in the slightest. In fact that is pretty much the way he likes food MOST.
He doesn't really avoid any food in particular, and he has had alcohol quite a few times but since he's not old enough to buy it in Japan obviously doesn't drink that regularly, nor does he care.
